Hey there book lovers!
So, let me spill the tea on my recent reading habits. I used to have this rule where I would finish every single book I started, no matter what. But guess what? This year, I had an epiphany – turns out, I’m a total mood reader. And you know what? I’m not mad about it!
Let me tell you about a couple of books I recently DNF’d. First up, Mary by Nat Cassidy. I was so ready to love it, but the writing style just didn’t click with me. It was dragging on and taking forever to get to the juicy bits, so I had to wave goodbye to that one.
Then there’s American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Now, don’t get me wrong, I adore the TV series. But when I started the book, I couldn’t get into it. I had to keep re-reading the beginning, and nothing was sticking. I’ll definitely give it another shot when the stars align and the mood is right.
Oh, and how could I forget The Stand by Stephen King? I got halfway through, and then life threw me a curveball. A family member passed away, and I just couldn’t handle reading about a plague at that time. Sometimes real life hits you hard, ya know?
Anyway, that’s my bookish update for now. Stay tuned for more bookish adventures!
Farewell for now,
Bookworm Bliss
