‘I do grow dreadfully tired sometimes of reading the same books over and over’: Looking for fresh chapter books to read with my kindergartener. Any suggestions?

Hey there bookworms! I need some help finding chapter books for my kindergartener.

Our bookshelf is overflowing with classics like Pooh and Frog and Toad, but I need a break from the same old stories on repeat.

I thought it might be fun to add a chapter book to our nightly routine. I didn’t read much as a kid, so I’m sure I missed out on some awesome reads.

Any suggestions for children’s chapter books that would be perfect for a 5-year-old?

Just to clarify, I’m not ditching picture books or age-appropriate reads. Just looking to mix things up a bit.
